The Liquid Lift is a non-surgical procedure that relies on wrinkle removing injections – also known as dermal fillers – to achieve results similar to surgical facelifts. Injectables and fillers are used to fill in hollows and plump up features, reduce or eliminate lines and wrinkles, and generally firm skin. The results should leave you with an overall more youthful appearance.
At Facial Aesthetic Concepts – with offices in San Clemente, Aliso Viejo and Rancho Santa Margarita –we offer our clients the Liquid Lift for facial rejuvenation. This is the latest technique in facial volume restoration. To find out and more and to schedule your consultation, contact Facial Aesthetic Concepts today.
The Liquid Lift can treat the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines that occur anywhere on the face — eyes, cheeks, chin, forehead and lips can all reap the benefits of a Liquid Lift.
The Liquid Lift procedure will generally begin with your specialist using a topical or local anesthetic to numb the injection site prior to starting the procedure. In some cases, a nerve block may also be used. Once the area is numb, the physician will inject the area to be treated. A different needle will be used for each individual product, each injection lasting only a few seconds. The entire procedure usually takes less than an hour.
Because there have been anesthetics applied, you may only feel slight discomfort from the procedure. Sometimes the specialist may apply additional anesthetics during the procedure.
The recovery time is a fraction of what it would be for more invasive techniques. Some patients do experience some side effects. Analgesics, as well as ice packs, can alleviate any discomfort from swelling, bruising or redness that may occur. You will see immediate results and the results will continue to improve during the days that follow as initial swelling and redness disappear.
The duration of your results will vary depending on the type of procedure and products used. You can expect the results to last from a few months to two years. The effects of the procedure can be prolonged through touch-up procedures.
As opposed to other procedures, the Liquid Lift has many benefits including:
- No general anesthesia
- No incisions
- Performed on an outpatient basis
- Quick recovery time, allowing you to resume regular activities immediately
- Treatment individualized to specific areas
- Results can appear after only one procedure
As long as you are in good general health, you would be a candidate for the liquid lift. The only thing that is needed is a strong desire to achieve a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
There are some health conditions, however, that may prevent you from being an ideal candidate for the Liquid Lift procedure. Conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders and sensitivities or allergic reaction to the product that is used in the liquid lift procedure may prevent you from receiving the procedure. Be sure to advise your physician if you have any of these conditions.
The liquid lift can do wonderful things to restore a youthful glow to your face, so contact Facial Aesthetic Concepts to find out if the Liquid Lift is right for you.
